Family News!!: Sabrina at 4

Its been a while since I've given you all an update on the kids so I thought I would start with Sabrina since she is the oldest and gets to do most things first. Well except pee standing up, Caleb will definitely get to do that first :-)For a change of pace I thought I would list some of her likes and dislikes instead of long rambling paragraphs so here goes:

LIKES:

School and learning new things-I was so glad we signed her up for the three day a week class. Sabrina's first year of school was a rousing success in that she thrived in the environment and was excited each and every day to go to school. She became much more outgoing and based on the feedback from her teachers was a joy to have in the classroom. Lately, she has been focused on learning to write her letters and she is trying very hard to learn to read. She can write her name and all of her uppercase letters. She still needs to work on her spacing and her lower case letters. We are just happy she shows any interest at all :)

Arts and Crafts-Sabby can spend up to an hour cutting, pasting, drawing, coloring and stamping. Her pictures are hanging all over the house and its always fun to see what her little mind creates.

Sports-she takes swim lessons and started a small soccer league. Swimming is still a huge hit with her and she loves going. Soccer was a disappointment, the league was poorly organized and the games were rained out pretty much every weekend. We are switching to a different league next year so we are keeping our fingers crossed its a better experience.

Playing dress up and putting on shows-At least once a day we are instructed to "introduce" her so she can put on a singing and dancing routine for us. She can be found in a princess costume most every day and she enjoys wearing jewelry and pretty dresses. She is most definitely a girly girl but she seems just as comfortable in her explorer clothes going around looking at the world through the lens of her binoculars and magnifying glass.

Misc-her favorite color is red, she likes being in charge, her favorite song is Poker Face by Lady Gaga, she likes going to the movies and her favorite movie is Cars. She loves to eat PB&J sandwiches and mac n' cheese; ice cream and cupcakes are two of her favorite desserts. Her favorite book is "Pinkaliscous". Her favorite Disney Princess is Belle from Beauty and the Beast because "she likes to books and Sabrina does too"

DISLIKES:

Being teased or gently poked at.

Bugs

Sweating

Time outs :)

Going home from playdates or parties

Being disciplined in front of other people
