Go Boom!!

Sabrina is now sitting up pretty well for a baby who just turned 6 mos. She can manage on her own for a few minutes before she topples over. She loves the new view of the world, but she always seems to get done in when she tries to grab a toy or her feet (which she now loves to put in her mouth) she also loves "going boom" , giggling every time she falls over. Here are some pics of our big girl:

Rookie Attempt

Kyle came home early today in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday and volunteered to feed Sabrina her sweet potatoes. As you can see below this was his first time feeding her solid food. Sabrina sensed this and tried to help him out, but only succeeded in making the biggest mess. Oh well at least a good time was had by all and she got a belly full(and face, hands, neck and hair) of sweet potatoes.

Hope you all have as much fun eating your turkey dinner as Sabrina did eating her sweet potatoes!!

Off to get a good dunking in the tub!!

Finally

A picture of her smiling! This is her in her much loved exersaucer. She just has the best time whenever she is placed in it.

Hello Gorgeous!

Sabrina's new fascination is with her reflection. Any time we pass by a mirror she always smiles at her reflection. What a ham!!

Playdate with Katie

We had a great time with our friend Katie today. Katie showed Sabrina the ins and outs of rolling over(she is an expert!) and they allowed us mommies to have some adult conversation during daylight hours. Some cute pics from the day.

Checking each other out...

Katie just demonstrated her expertise in rolling onto her stomach. Sabrina was content to just contort her body into this odd position.

Ready, set...drool!!! Also practicing out pushups for the Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge

"So, Katie what did you think of last night's Grey's Anatomy?"

What's for dinner Mom??

Well as Sabrina is about 5 and a half months old now it was time to start her on solid food. She was more than ready and has taken to it pretty well. She was a bit hesitant at first, but now is eating her oatmeal like a champ. She manages to get some in her stomach, the majority though lands on her chin, cheeks, hair, hands..oh its just an unholy mess but at least she enjoys her "big girl" food. It will be fun to start feeding her jar food in a few weeks, I can't wait to see what she likes and dislikes and see those faces babies make when they taste something they don't like.

She is also rolling over and can sit on her own for a minute or two before "going boom" and can put weight on her feet. Not much longer for me to enjoy her being relatively stationery. Its almost time to baby proof I guess!

Mark your calenders!

Last night was the first night that Sabrina fell asleep on her own..no binkies..no running back and forth 627 times to tuck her back in. She played quietly for about 20 minutes and then Kyle and I noticed it had gotten eerily quiet. We went to check on her and sure enough she was out like a light. After an impromptu celebratory dance we went back upstairs and watched Supernatural in peace. Hopefully this is a trend rather than a one night reprieve. Stay tuned for further updates!!!

Oh and yes Christmas is officially 53 days away :)

Dont forget to set your clocks back on hour tomorrow! While this is a good thing for most of you this will now mean than Sabrina's schedule is going to be slightly off for a while. She will be waking us up at 6:30 rather than 7:30 am. (sigh)
