News and updates on Kyle, Cerissa, Sabrina and Caleb
Sabrina and I spent our spring break with my Mom and Dad visiting my sister in Virginia Beach. While our main goal was to get loads of wedding planning done (mission accomplished there!) both Sabrina and I managed to get in some fun time as well. Sab got to practice her cruising and pulling up skills(she can now pretty much get herself up to the standing position from just about any position). Sabrina also "discovered" Winston and Lady and would squeal with glee every time she caught sight of one of them and then make a beeline straight for them. She was very curious about our four legged family members and spent lots of time exploring their ears, feet tails..you get the picture. I have to say those two dogs were patience personified. They would just lay there and thump their tails during her examinations, reaching over every now and again to give her a big wet doggie kiss. While Sabrina was learning all about dogs, I was at meetings looking at table linens, food tastings, bowling (best score was 118) and attending my first ever punk rock show. Yes you read that right, Kyle and I went and saw John's band (Constrictor) at a bar one night. While punk is not our first choice in music, I have to say I enjoyed listening to them play. They are very talented and John is awesome with the guitar. We also manged to get in a lot of time outdoors since the weather was in the high 70's for a few days. Kyle and I went on a bike ride down to the marina and Sabrina enjoyed lots of walks with Grandpa.
This past month month Sabrina has grown and developed so much. She is now an expert and fast crawler. Her favorite new game is to crawl as fast as she can in the exact opposite direction from Mommy-especially when Mommy asks her to "come here". In Sabrina language that translates to "squeal, clap hands and then crawl so fast we often fall flat on our faces then turn and make sure Mommy is chasing". This is a fun game :) She also learned how to pull up to standing on just about anything, couches, the wall, Mommy and Daddy's legs. She is cruising pretty steadily and will stand without holding on to anything for a few seconds at a time. Walking can't be too far off now!
