Its the Great Pumpkin..

Charlie Brown can finally stop waiting for the Great Pumpkin to appear. She finally showed up here in our house in Reston. Sabrina received lots of smiles from everyone today who thought she looked just adorable. Thankfully she was a good sport about wearing it all day even though she got some shots at her 4 month checkup. This pumpkin clocked in at 14lbs 14 ounces and 25 inches in length. She was also a big hit with the very few trick-or-treaters that came to our door.

A small tangent here...we had a group of young teenagers come to our door, maybe about 5 or 6 total and they were no older than 12 to 14 . Three of the girls were dressed in sexy french maid costumes that were VERY revealing. They were complete with fishnet thigh-high stockings and garters and hot pink bras. They were really more appropriate for a much older woman. I just stood there gaping and wondering if their parents knew how they were dressed and holding back from giving them a lecture about how there were a lot of sick people out there who would find their outfits a little too appealing. I was just more concerned with their safety..I dunno if its that I'm a mother to a daughter now and I see things differently or if it is just an age thing. I will tell you this though Sabrina is going to make one cute ghost in her loose sheet when she is that age :) No it will work, she can be the ghost and I will wear the beige jumpsuit with the photon pack and be a ghost-buster :)

Another small tangent: Anyone else totally turned off by the Christmas Decorations in all of the stores?? Waay too early in my book...

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Yes I know its blurry..but I can NEVER get her to smile at the camera and I wanted you all to see how great her smile really is so use your imagination a little bit :)

Jump in our Jumparoo!!

Watch Mom cook dinner..okay..prolly just clean the kitchen..but still...hang out in our high chair and get ready for big girl food!

Who needs toys??

Who needs toys when you have your own built in play items? Sabrina is now obsessed with her feet. I will go to wake her in the morning and find her wide awake like this:

There are some benefits though, especially when it comes time to change her diaper!

We have another one!!

So I guess the first tooth decided it needed a buddy as its next door neighbor decided to makes its appearance as well. Mommy and Daddy will be VERY glad when this teething thing takes a break. It makes for a very cranky baby. Oh yes and she bit me while feeding this morning..which HURTS!! She thinks everything thing that goes into her mouth is a teething ring. Ugh..I hope that does not happen again!!

No pics of her teeth yet..but you can see how frantic she gets while chewing on things!

She is growing up fast!!

Sabrina cut her first tooth over last night. Its one of the bottom front teeth and its really sharp. We may start the weaning process earlier than I thought :) Nothing much else is going on here except we put her in her Jumparoo and she LOVES it. She just bounces away and talks to the Winnie the Pooh figurine until she gets tired, which is pretty quickly. Ill post some pics of her tooth when I can get one taken and of her in the Jumparoo.

Baptism!!

We had Sabrina's Christening this past Sunday. She was very well behaved and seemed to be fascinated by the whole thing. We then attended an after party at my parents house where we ate some delicious food and enjoyed each others company. Kyle and I are grateful that so many people chose to take part in Sabrina's special day.

Her new talent

She's been doing this for a few days now so I am glad I finally got it on camera. We are now working on going the other way :)
