Yes that yard stick does measure the snow at a whopping 18.5 inches. Scary part is that its still coming down. I will post a pic of the final tally tomorrow when the storm is all said and done. We had a productive day here at casa Michl. I folded all the laundry that had piled up and organized some bookshelves and got in some quality time with the family. Poor Kyle, aka-Mr Expert snow shoveler, was up at 6 am to tackle the first of the snow and returned from his fifth and final run at the driveway just a few minutes ago. Sabrina's first words this morning were not her usual " Good Morning Mommy!! Me want oatmeal with raisins for breakfast!", instead mere seconds after she opened those pretty brown eyes of hers, she uttered a phrase that is still echoing in my head " Me want to play outside in SNOW!!". The word snow was shouted at the top of her lungs, this was followed by the first of three tantrums when told she could not go outside right then. We finally did make it out in the snow in the early afternoon and had lots of fun until the cold drove us in. It was a relief to find that my snow clothes still fit over my ginormous tummy-well they only fit barely, but i was covered up enough to spend an hour watching Kyle shovel and play with Sabby. Below are some pics from our time outside:
